Stephen Curry is one of the most influential players of the new generation, and is widely regarded as one of the best shooters of all-time. And honestly, that title suits Curry and his playing style. Ever since joining the Warriors, he has completely turned around the franchise.

In the last five years, Curry and the Warriors made five consecutive trips to the finals, winning three of them. But the 2019-20 season has been quite the opposite for them due to major injury issues. As a result, they missed the Playoffs and will look to make a comeback next year.

However, this year’s Playoffs have seen many young stars rise to stardom. Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is one such player who looks like a sure star of the future. His Game 4 performance in the ECF earned him appreciation from all around the world.

Many people started drawing comparisons of Herro to Stephen Curry. Herro’s teammate Andre Iguodala weighed in on the matter at hand.

“I won’t compare them. But they definitely have … I’m trying for the right word. The way they can handle the ball and get into their shots, Tyler shows some resemblances there. I’m not saying they’re the same. But there are some resemblances in that he can get to his shot pocket off the dribble and off the shoot and catch, which is rare — that guys have both of those features in their games.”

As Iggy said, it is far too early to compare Herro to Curry, but the rookie definitely possesses the talent to be a consistent star in the league. Although there are a few similarities in their style here and there, there will be a clearer picture after the Playoffs.

What’s next for Stephen Curry?

During the time that Steph has been away from the league, many people have forgotten how good was he in the last few years. Even in the 2018-2019 Playoffs, Curry was averaging 28.2 points and 5.7 assists per game. If it weren’t for untimely injuries to his teammates, the Dubs could have three-peated.

Heading into the 2020-21 season, Curry’s biggest task is to lead the team to another deep playoff run. If he can accomplish that in a much more improved West then it will have a positive impact on his legacy.
