The NBA announced an official scrimmage a week ago. Between July 22 to July 28, teams will have three scrimmage games each. The only question fans had was whether it will be telecasted. So far, there has been no word from the NBA. But now two teams have announced that their games will be telecasted: the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic.

Fox Sports Sun announced that along with the eight pre-playoff games for the Heat, they will also be covering their scrimmages. “The first scrimmage on Wednesday, July 22 vs. the Sacramento Kings and the third scrimmage on Tuesday, July 28 vs. the Memphis Grizzlies will air live on FOX Sports Sun while the second scrimmage on Saturday, July 25 vs. the Utah Jazz will air after tape delay. All three scrimmages will be available live on FOX Sports GO.”

The Miami Heat, led by Jimmy Butler, are the fourth seed right now and will most likely face the Indiana Pacers or the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the playoffs.

Live games after months for NBA fans

For Orlando, it will be Fox Sports Florida telecasting the scrimmages. Their three games are all against high-quality opposition. They face the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets. The games against the Lakers (July 25, noon) and the Clippers (July 22, 3 p.m.) will be telecast live, unlike the one against the Nuggets (July 27, 7 p.m.) which will air after tape delay.

The Orlando Magic are the eighth seed now, but can easily go up to 7th. They will be boosted by the Nets missing four of their starters and a few role players. Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier will lead their charge into the playoffs. They will be hoping for a better showing than last year. After winning the first game, they lost four games on the trot to the Toronto Raptors and crashed out of the first round.
