It isn’t the first time we are seeing a teammate drool over Jimmy Butler‘s talent and leadership. He is amongst those stars who have worked in silence to prove their worth. A similar situation stands today, where Miami Heat is leading a 2-1 Conference Finals series against the Celtics.
Heat defeated, what most considered the season favorites at the beginning, the Bucks in the second round of Playoffs. It was a clear 4-1 victory as Jimmy Butler halted Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s title dream run.
Even now the Heat is looking like a fierce force from the East, looking to grab this Celtics series as well. The more we talk about Miami’s impressive season campaign, the more Jimmy Butler looks like the reason behind it.
A young teammate, Duncan Robinson feels similar about the same while he recently had a chat on the ‘Dan Patrick Show’. He recognizes Butler as a star who has taught him ‘a whole lot’.
“It’s pretty uncommon to have a superstar that’s so unselfish, who doesn’t care about shot attempts and literally just cares about winning. He’ll do whatever it takes to win. If that’s sacrificing his attempts and maybe his points; for assists, rebounds, guarding, he’ll do it. He does whatever it takes to win and he’s certainly our leader, and we just all kind of fall in line and follow.”
Butler is averaging 20.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists this Playoff season. Also, he has an incredible shooting record of 47% from the field. While many mustn’t notice what he offers to Miami Heat as a team, he is definitely a driving force who has swiftly taken his bunch quite near to the championship title.
Robinson isn’t wrong in explaining the way Butler wins with the team effort. Butler’s points list may not look extraordinary at all instances, but what he offers on the court surely makes him a gem for Miami.
Can Butler win Miami Heat this year’s championship with the Lakers still in the race?
