Los Angeles Lakers are the number one seed in the Western Conference. They confirmed this with their win over the Utah Jazz. Lakers were led by leading Defensive Player of the Year candidate, Anthony Davis.

Davis had a monster stat-line featuring 42 points and 12 rebounds. LeBron James let his all-star teammate dominate, taking 12 fewer shots than AD. ‘Bron ended up with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists on 56.3% shooting.

The Utah Jazz is one of the top teams in the league. However, they were outmatched by the Lakers. This is a strong way for the players and the team to rebound after their loss against the Toronto Raptors.

The team is favored to win the title this season, but a lot of people are doubting the team and its depth. NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe feels that the signing of AD has revolutionized the team, and that has made them a playoff contender.

Sharpe emphasized on praising Lakers Executive Rob Pelinka and former Executive Magic Johnson.
