At last, the Houston Rockets‘ star is back training with the team. He is expected to make his return against San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. Although it was claimed that James Harden didn’t turn up for workouts because of COVID-19 protocols. It was pretty clear what caused the delay. And it looks like even though he is back, nothing has changed and he is still adamant about getting that trade.

When the offseason began, Harden and Russell Westbrook both requested trades. However, only Westbrook’s demands were fulfilled, and he was sent to the Washington Wizards in exchange for John Wall. This probably ticked off Harden even more, and he decided to not show up. Moreover, he was seen partying on various occasions instead of training with the team.

His behavior turned everybody against him. Nobody believes that Harden doesn’t deserve a trade if asked for it, but the way he handled the situation wasn’t right. Thus, it is probably a big relief for the Rockets that at least they have got the big man back on the court with them.

But Adrian Wojnarowski thinks that the trade talks are still very much on, and the Philadelphia 76ers might be a possible landing spot for him.

On ESPN, Adrian Wojnarowski talked about Harden’s return to the camp. He stated, “He’s made it clear as he comes in, had his first practice yesterday. The arrival of John Wall and however John Wall looked or how Boogie Cousins has looked in the preseason so far, is not impacting his thinking.

“He wants a trade. Brooklyn and Philadelphia are still the two teams he would most like to go to. And the Rockets continue to work on trying to see if there’s a way that they can get a maximum value for a player they consider one of the best five in the league. They certainly aren’t just going to give him away.”

Adrian also talked about the teams that do have the leverage to bring in Harden. “There are so few who have the combination of draft picks, a young player that would interest the Rockets, and also being a contender. There are very few. Philly’s at the top of that list.”

The Rockets now don’t have much choice. There is no point in keeping a player who doesn’t want to be there. His stay won’t be fruitful for anybody. So, who do you think will win the James Harden Jackpot?
