Giannis Antetokounmpo and his future with the Milwaukee Bucks is one of the hottest topics right now. Following the Bucks’ second-round defeat handed by the Heat, many are wondering if Giannis should leave them.
On one hand, it makes perfect sense for the two-time MVP to join a better team in hopes of winning a title. But on the contrary, he has already denied the rumors on multiple occasions. In fact, he even said he wants to stay with the Bucks for the next 15 years.
However, in the past, many players have made a long-term commitment to their organizations but left in the free-agency, anyway. NBA legend Kevin Garnett weighed in on the discussion when he appeared on Complex Sports’ “Load Management” podcast.

“The East is going to be different next year, you got KD and KD’s taken two years off. I don’t know if y’all remember John Wall, but he’s also had two years off. The East is going to be different next year. I’m expecting it to be very different next year…
I don’t see Giannis leaving. I think Giannis is comfortable with being in a small market. He won’t want those responsibilities of being in a big market. I know social media is going to play a part in that, but he’s a very firm, very stubborn kid. To the point where he can do another three years in Milwaukee and see if it works. I don’t know if that’s the smartest, but he’s bull-headed enough to make a stand and stay with that franchise and go through it until he sees different. I don’t see him leaving.”
Maybe Giannis will stay with the Bucks after all, but nothing is set in stone yet. There have been no confirmations regarding his future as of now.

What should Giannis Antetokounmpo do?
Giannis is just 25 years old right now, and it might be too soon to give up on the Bucks. Many NBA legends like Michael Jordan and LeBron James didn’t win their first titles until their late 20s.

However, while LeBron left the Cavs in need of a better supporting cast, Giannis’ situation is far better, considering the Bucks are ready to commit to him and his desires of a better team.
