However, Green found his shooting stroke through the game and helped the Lakers jump out to a 32 point lead. Green made his contribution by hitting 3 three-pointers in the game.

Those shots added another historical record to this Lakers team. While LeBron James and Rajon Rondo have broken their fair share of records, Green chipped in by setting a new NBA Finals record for most three-pointers.

Green surpassed the late Kobe Bryant on the list and is the 7th all-time now. He tied with Kobe and Laker legend Derek Fisher for 7th with 48 three-pointers made. Green now has 51 three-pointers, four behind legendary three-point shooter Ray Allen. Green developed his NBA reputation on being able to knock down big shots, and this stat is proof.

Lakers riding their momentum to an easy Finals victory?

This game is reinforcing why the Lakers were such heavy favorites to become NBA Champions. This team may not have the same depth that Miami has in terms of ability. However, their roster is stacked with former champions and veterans that know what it takes to make it through a Finals series.

The Lakers have former champions on the team in LeBron, Green, J. R. Smith, Rajon Rondo, and even JaVale McGee. Dwight Howard has been to the NBA Finals before. All these names have done it at the highest level, and they are supplemented by Anthony Davis. This team is the definition of ‘championship pedigree’.
