LeBron James saw himself on the losing end of the battle with Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in game three. It was the first NBA Finals game in LeBron’s career where he didn’t lead any major statistical category. This is because Jimmy Buckets did so and told Bron in the fourth quarter that he was ‘in trouble’.

LBJ spoke to the media about the trash talk that he ended up getting into with Butler. Bron had told Butler he was in trouble earlier in the game.

Bron said, “No, I’ve always been a guy who kind of let his game do the talking. But when guys get to talking, I can do that, as well. I’ve always tried to let my game do the talking. Some guys like to talk their way through the basketball game. I think it helps them out personally. There’s always communication going on on the floor. For me personally, as long as it doesn’t get disrespectful, I’m fine with it. But I’ve never really started up a trash-talking dialogue. That’s just not me. I believe the way I play the game is enough trash-talking in itself.”

LeBron James was supposed to romp through these finals with the Lakers. With Miami’s star players Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo getting hurt, the path for LA to win was easy. However, game three Jimmy Butler made sure that his team didn’t get swept. While LeBron did have 25 on efficient shooting and was two assists shy of a triple-double, he couldn’t match up to Butler’s mammoth 40-point triple-double.

Fans can expect an angry LeBron determined to exact revenge on Butler for his game three performance. LeBron is one of the greatest players in basketball, and he has a chance to prove it in game four. Will he fail again? Maybe not, but if anyone can slow him down, it is Jimmy Butler.
