LeBron James and Anthony Davis have finally done it. In their first season together, the duo has become the NBA Champions. Despite the rigors of the NBA Bubble, the Lakers have dominated through the Playoffs. After three consecutive 4-1 series wins, the Miami Heat really threatened to push the Lakers to their limits.

However, the opposite happened in game six. The Lakers blew the Heat out, going up by 36 points in the game. Despite the Heat trying to rally in the fourth quarter, the game was sealed, and the Lakers took their time to win.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis were the two main players behind this Championship win. The pair have formed a very strong bond in their first season together, and they have benefitted from it. AD and LeBron finally proved the doubters wrong to become NBA Champions and shared a special moment after the game.

Commissioner Adam Silver confirmed that LeBron James would be winning the Finals MVP trophy. This is his fourth win, and he is the first player in NBA history to win Finals MVP on three teams. However, his partner-in-crime Anthony Davis put in some immense work as well.

This team was not favored to win the title at the start, with many analysts putting teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers ahead of them. Despite people counting their depth out, the Lakers have now proved that they had the strength in numbers to sustain their winning. They were the first seed in the Western Conference and went on to win three series in 5 games. The Lakers dominated from the opening tip and battled the adversity the young Heat team gave them.

While all the talk will soon shift to what happens next season, for now, LeBron James and Anthony Davis are champions. They played very hard and dominated together. Whether they can continue to do it in the next few seasons is yet to be seen. However, they did it in their first year together in one of the hardest fought NBA Champions, and the NBA has its new king duo.
