The former NBA champion is an active member of the ongoing movement. Kendrick believes that the movement can only progress if powerful white people take action. He has mentioned personalities like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the said tweet. Perkins has expressed his views on the issue on numerous occasions. The 35-year-old has been on various news shows to talk about the issue.

Perkins played his final season with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2018 when they made it to the NBA Finals.
