Today, we talk about the best duos in the NBA. We all can easily name those Top 2 players from each team. But back in the days, Miami Heat was a fortunate franchise to have a trio in the name of Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James. Coincidentally, all of them got drafted in the same year and were selected within the first five picks.

The relationship between Dwyane Wade and LeBron James went through a roller-coaster ride when The L-Train left Miami Heat. They had just lifted two NBA titles in 2012 and 2013 under the coaching of legendary coach Erik Spoelstra. Dwyane was suffering from migraine issues and then a foot injury. LeBron’s decision came as a shocker to the old amigo and things took time to settle. Today, they share an amazing relation.

LeBron James was quick to respond. He could not stop his laughter as he was asked whether a retired player can do this to The Akron Hammer. A tee-heeing Bron said, “No comment, no comment [chuckles]. No comment on that. He needs to be outdoors right now I’ll tell you that. He need a little breeze going on man, a little sweaty inside the studio. But Dwyane is crazy.”

He clearly loves his old buddy and can take none of that seriously.

Who was a better player among the two?

In his playing career, Wade averaged 22 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. LeBron wins it with his 25.5 – 7.9 – 10.3 respectively. LeBron is a great passer too, and hence he clearly wins there.

But when we get down to other basics of the game, Dwyane gives LeBron some run for his money. The ball-handling skills of a five inches shorter Dwyane are better with more crossover and spinning skills. Also, the closing ability of Wade remains superior as he used to knock down key jumpers and draw fouls. But yes, these remain subjective too.

Last but not the least, Dwyane Wade took Miami Heat to a title win in 2006. Can LeBron do that for the Lakers in 2020? We will get to know pretty soon.
