The NBA witnessed its Zinedine Zidane moment when Giannis Antetokounmpo decided to headbutt Moritz Wagner. This shocking sight came into existence in the Milwaukee Bucks vs Washington Wizards seeding game. The Bucks defeated Wizards 126-113 quite easily, but this incident took all the coverage.

Washington Wizards have lost their seventh straight game in the Orlando Bubble now. They’re just the opposite of Phoenix Suns in this regard. The chances of them winning their last season game against Celtics remain close to none. But Giannis gave them something to remember before their season ends.

A new rivalry: Giannis Antetokounmpo vs Moritz Wagner

The game was just into three minutes of the second quarter when Giannis played a questionable offense against the Wizards. He rammed into #21 Moritz Wagner and shouldered him hard enough to put him on the ground. A headbutt was next to come, and it all turned nasty. Total chaos followed, and officials had to rush in to calm down the situation.

Did Moe go under the skin of Giannis? We are not sure of that, but something truly offended Giannis so much that he put himself in danger of being ejected from the game.

The Milwaukee Bucks star was soon to regret

In a post-game media conference, The Greek Freak reflected on the incident. He could play for only 10 minutes in the entire game. However, he could still post 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist. Had the Bucks lost, it would be worse for him to answer questions. The 2020 MVP prospect said he would not do it if he could go back in time and turn the events for good.

Giannis surely can not afford to pull such stunts when playing in the playoffs, as the stake will be high. The Bucks have won three of their last seven games. They will next play the Memphis Grizzlies on 13th August at 4:00 PM ET.
