Nick Nurse is presently the winningest coach with a 99-39 record. It is true that he has very few games under his belt, which is why he has a high average win percentage. Still, he has been instrumental in making the players feel at home. Toronto Raptors’ head coach understands well how it can affect his players mentally when they stay away from home for long. So, they pulled a unique approach. The team management got family photos of all the players hanging on the hotel room walls to welcome them. What a kind gesture! And now Nick has something to share about the Spanish player, Marc Gasol.

Marc had to call it quits in the middle of a game in January this year. He felt tightness in his left hamstring and pulled out from the rest of the season (missing 16 of the 17 games before March 11). But this wasn’t the first time his hamstrings failed him. He missed back-to-back games in December last year as well. The impact of his absence was such that, of the 12 games he missed, Raptors lost six.

Good news for Toronto Raptors! Marc Gasol has completely recovered.

In a tweet, Michael Grange of Sportsnet relayed that head coach Nick Nurse is positive about Marc’s comeback.

Not just this, Michael also stated, “As far as I’m aware, he’s fully healed.” He added, “And as you know he looks great. His skills look fantastic as well. He looks like he’s in good shape. I don’t see any issues.”

Even when you take a look at his Instagram posts, you can see he is in real good shape. He looks every bit enthusiastic about the comeback.

His importance in the team roster can be understood by the fact that he played a total of 103 games in the 2018-19 season. He scored 7.6 pts per game, made 6.3 rebounds, and converted 3.4 assists with an FG% 41.9. Kyle Lowry, Siakam, VanVleet would all want to have Gasol by their side if they wish to move up in the rankings and possibly play in the Finals.
