The LA Clippers vs the Denver Nuggets looked more like Kawhi Leonard vs Nikola Jokic. Jamal Murray remained quiet with a meaningful yet small (as per his standards) contribution. The Clippers comfortably defeated the Nuggets 96-85 in a surprisingly low-scoring game.

When was the last time LA Clippers scored below 100? It was on January 22 against the Atlanta Hawks when they lost the game 95-102. However, this time around, their top-performer Kawhi Leonard ensured they do not lose.

Kawhi Leonard is the Wonderboy for the LA Clippers

The Claw had just one poor game when he looked slightly out of touch. It was Game 2 where Kawhi still scored a double-double, but 13 points could never justify his offense caliber. In today’s game, he scored 30 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. What a complete 180-degree game he had!

With this, he also matched another record and shook hands with his legendary counterpart, LeBron James.

In the 2019-20 season playing for Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard averaged 30.5 points and 49% FG. However, the data above talks about the first 10 games in the playoffs. LeBron James, in his 14 post-season appearances, has enjoyed the average of 29+ points and 50%+ FG accuracy on five unique occasions with two different teams. The 29-YO Kawhi is still far from touching that record, but he is getting along really well.

The LA franchise was just undeniable in Game 4!

The Denver had a very sluggish start to the campaign of getting even in the series. They could touch the double-figure when the first quarter was about to end. The Clippers were always in the lead of the game and there was not one moment when the Nuggets could surpass them and relish that mental edge. It was only once at the beginning of the third quarter that the score leveled at 48-each, but it was all a Kawhi Leonard show after that.

Watch this beautiful steal and one-handed dime from Leonard to Lou Williams.

The Claw had another memorable night as he enjoyed a perfect 8/8 100% accuracy from the free-throw line. It is now certain that the Nuggets will not win unless they can tame Kawhi from opening his claws.
