Tyler Herro has been contributing towards the Miami Heat’s end goals in a way nobody imagined. When he comes off the bench, he does so well that the 19-year-old has now become a pillar for the Miami Heat squad.

The rookie was such a force in game 4 that he scored 37 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. He was so good that he converted twice for every three field goal attempts (66.7%) that he made in the game. These figures don’t lie and the President of the franchise, Pat Riley, must be thrilled to see him perform.

Pat handpicked the freshman from Kentucky in the 2019 NBA Draft. He was the 13th overall pick and brought immense potential to the Heat. The Milwaukee born guard is amazing with his jump shots. His ball-handling and passing need improvement, but considering his age, he has ample time to improve.

Now that Herro is performing beyond expectations, a certain Miami Heat center has taken some credit for Herro’s drafting. Bam Adebayo claimed in an interview, “I’m the one that got into Pat’s ear to draft him.”

Perhaps Jimmy Butler owes Bam a treat for showing such foresight. Tyler has just begun to show what he’s made of, and with the kind of energy he has, the sky is the limit for him.

In a game where an accomplished star like Jayson Tatum struggled in the first half, the upcoming star in Tyler thrived. Tyler scored 17 of his 37 points in the final quarter where the entire Heat squad combined 35 points. This happened majorly because Tyler scored back-to-back three-pointers. In the entire course of the game, he converted 5/10 threes from the downtown.

The Miami Heat allowed the Celtics to benefit from very few free throws. They played a very disciplined game and controlled the pressure in the clutch moments. It was a 2-point game with nine seconds remaining, but the Celtics could not snatch the last moment of possession and lost the game. It will be interesting to see how Tyler performs from here on.
