LeBron James gives the feeling of a 25-year-old in the body of a 35-year-old. His jump shots and power-packed dunks come loaded with enough energy to eat a defender whole. This legend is on his way to becoming the GOAT because he seems to have no plans of stopping anytime soon. The GOAT tag would be even sweeter for him if reaches that height with the Lakers by his side.

In Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers lost 106-114 in what was a very disappointing attempt from their end. But LeBron James traced another record as he individually had a very convincing outing.

The Akron Hammer scored yet another triple-double in the game. He dropped 30 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. His FG% stayed at 60.9. These extraordinary figures and coupled with a loss don’t seem to match at all, but that was what happened all the same.

With this performance, Bron now has 26 triple-doubles in the 252 post-season games that he has recorded. This also means that he has scored a triple-double in every 10 playoff games that he has played.

Only Magic Johnson, another Lakers legend, has more post-season triple-doubles (30). The next name after these two is that of Jason Kidd (11), with a noticeable the gap.

In addition to these already amazing stats, Bron scored a 30-point triple-double twice in the NBA Playoffs 2020 and became the first-ever Lakers player to have done this. The last two Lakers to have done this even once were Jerry West (1969) and James Worthy (1988).

The Lakers will have to bounce back

It is rare to see the Lakers lose a game where Bron and Anthony Davis had combined for 57 points. But the stats also say that AD had a forgetful game as he missed all four of his attempts from behind the arc. Plus, he recorded just two rebounds and one assist and had a very bleak show of defense.

Danny Green had another poor outing as he scored with 25% shooting accuracy. Alex Caruso with his 14.3% FG was even worse, and all this added to a lackluster performance from the team who were the favorites to post a win.

The Lakers now have to win Game 4, as they haven’t let any team win two games against them in the playoffs so far.
