Houston Rockets Urges NBA To Investigate The Thunders’ Guard For In-Game Altercation: Reports

The NBA Playoffs are about to see the end of the first round. However, a first-round series that is guaranteed another game is Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder. Heading into today’s game, the series was tied at 2-2. However, the Rockets had a massive win after the return of Russell Westbrook.

The Thunder have surprised everyone this season with their playoff position. After going down 2-0 in the series before Westbrook returned, many assumed that the Thunder are done for. However, they rebounded with two back-to-back wins. The momentum ran out, as the Rockets pulled off a nearly 40-point win in game 5.

The game saw Dennis Schroeder and P.J. Tucker be ejected for getting into a fight. The Rockets expect the NBA to investigate Schroeder for intentionally hitting Tucker in the groin.

The Rockets are upset that Paul wasn’t investigated after game three for intentionally low-blowing Ben McLemore.

The Houston Rockets are a lock to move on to the second round. That will most likely book a series against LeBron James and the LA Lakers. However, the Thunder are still in the series. They are a wildly streaky team, however, that is what playoff basketball is supposed to test. The Thunder aren’t just playoff upstarts now, they need to perform and compete.

The Houston Rockets will expect to close the series out in the next game. Game 5 was a great defensive performance by Houston, somehow holding the Thunder to 80 points. Moreover, they held offensive-minded players like Danilo Gallinari to 0 made FGs in the game. The Thunder struggled to shoot efficiently, bringing up a question from the season. Can the Thunder succeed without having a certified number one option?

It looks like Houston will be too much for the Thunder. With the return of Russell Westbrook and James Harden playing efficiently, we can expect them to have too much over the next two games for the Thunder to make a comeback. However, this season was a great experience for this Thunder squad. But will the Thunder regroup and come back to steal a game 6 win? We will find out soon enough.
