Rudy Gobert Opens up About Utah Jazz Getting New Ownership

For the last three decades, the Miller family owned the Utah Jazz. However, the run has ended as Ryan Smith recently bought a majority stake in the franchise.
The deal went down for over $1.6 billion, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Smith, who recently sold his company for $8 billion, was a lifelong Jazz fan, and now, it’s owner.

Following this change in ownership, Jazz star Rudy Gobert welcomed Smith into the family with open arms. Gobert paid his gratitude to the Millers for running the franchise for over three decades.

During the stint of the Miller family as owners, the team enjoyed a lot of success, but they could never bag in an NBA Championship, maybe with Smith being at the helm, this will bring a new culture to the franchise.

Jazz is one of the top team in the stacked Western Conference. They have two terrific players in Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, who have led them to great regular seasons. But come playoff time, the duo have failed to be a force.
In the 2020 postseason, the Jazz missed out on a chance to advance to the second round of the playoffs. They had a 3-1 lead in the opening round, but the Nuggets sent them home in a thrilling Game 7.
