The Sacramento Kings were very active during free agency. They lost a number of significant players in their team, but have made signings to try to replace them in order to carry on this year. While the Kings are perennially out of the playoffs, they will be looking to change their luck this year.

With that in mind, let us take a look at the new Sacramento Kings roster.

Incoming Players

  • Hassan Whiteside

In what is arguably the biggest acquisition for the Kings, they signed Hassan Whiteside in free-agency. Whiteside was a player for the Trail Blazers last season. He is a former NBA Rebounding leader and two-time NBA block leader, including last season. Now, Whiteside will add massive size, inside presence and veteran experience.

  • Frank Kaminsky

Frank Kaminsky, formerly of the Phoenix Suns, signed with the Kings. Kaminsky was the ninth pick in the 2015 NBA draft, but has failed to live up to the label of a top-10 draft class player. But now, he gets the chance to do that on this new look Kings team. He will play alongside or provide cover for Marvin Bagley III and Hassan Whiteside.

  • Tyrese Haliburton

The Kings drafted Tyrese Haliburton at the number 12 spot in the 2020 NBA Draft. In fact, Haliburton is projected to be a top level NBA player, a future top-100 player.

  • Robert Woodward
  • Jahmi’us Ramsey
  • Glenn Robinson III
  • Robert Woodward II
  • Chimezie Metu

Outgoing Players

  • Bogdan Bogdanovic

Bogdanovic was originally traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. However, due to a lack of an agreement with Bogdanovic, the trade fell through. Yet, he entered free agency and signed with the Atlanta Hawks.

  • Kent Bazemore
  • Harry Giles
  • Alex Len
  • Yogi Ferrell
  • Corey Brewer
