With the NBA enforcing strict rules in the Orlando bubble, players aren’t allowed to exit as per their fancies. However, Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley had to leave due to family emergencies. The latest person to leave was their LA Clippers teammate Lou Williams. He also cited personal reasons as he left the bubble. But later, the league carried out some investigations. They found that he had visited to a gentleman’s club in Atlanta while on his way back.

Due to this, he will be forced to quarantine for 10 days now. This will lead to him missing the Clippers’ first two seeding games, including the big game against rival Lakers. On Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, Skip Bayless was furious at Williams for his behavior. He said he doesn’t believe this Clippers team will perform well now, because of such events.

“There is no way this Clippers team, that already has a bunch of problems going on besides Lou Williams, is going to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Conference Finals. This Clippers team, on the path it’s on right now, ain’t going to get to any Conference Final.”

Bayless says Lou Williams has been selfish

“This team feels fractured, it feels like they’re suffering maybe a minor mutiny of a lot of players who don’t want to be in the bubble. Starting with Lou Will. The man who’s often rescued this team on the basketball court, the reigning 6th Man of the Year, just set fire to what’s left of the Clippers season. That is inexcusable. That is the ultimate selfish act of betrayal.”

Then he mocked Lou for not understanding the team situation and going to Magic City when he knew he would face consequences. “There’s no ‘I’ in team but there are two ‘I’s’ in Magic City”

If Beverley doesn’t return in time, the Clippers will have just one point guard, Reggie Jackson, for their first two seeding games. Williams’ act will definitely have upset some of his teammates. The onus is now on coach Doc Rivers to keep the team together. Being one of the favorites to win it all, Rivers will be under pressure to sort out matters before the playoffs begin.

The Clippers are now scheduled to play the Sacramento Kings tonight (27th July) in their final scrimmage game. They play the Lakers on 30th July in their first official game in the bubble.
