Shaquille O’Neal says there might be an NBA team in Las Vegas soon

Shaquille O’Neal knows a lot of stuff happening inside the NBA. He is an analyst and a minority owner of the Sacramento Kings. Though he is no more a player, he definitely knows the future of the league. Las Vegas has been pushing for an NBA team for long, and according to the former MVP, the possibilities are high for them to land with one.

Caliendo asked Shaq if the NBA is looking to expand with more teams, following the steps of the NHL. He did have an answer to it and said, “They are thinking about going back overseas. I keep hearing that Seattle wants their team back, but would probably have to sell one of their existing teams.” Shaq also brought in a peculiar expansion idea and mentioned the league is also looking to expand in China and Japan.

Although no official news has come out, one can expect the league to make a decision soon. Franchises will change hands and we might even get a chance to see more teams coming in. With Vegas already playing host to franchises from the NHL and the NFL, it would be no surprise if the NBA lands up there. A ton of craziness takes place in Vegas. The NBA would add a whole lot to it by hosting games in a frequent manner.
