The Los Angeles Lakers have defeated the Nuggets to become the first 2020 NBA finalists. This is the first time since the breakup of Kobe and Shaq that The Lake Show has witnessed such a dynamic duo in James and Davis. Moreover, both superstars delivered when it mattered the most.

Although the Lakers held a 3-1 lead, the Nuggets were never counted out due to their amazing comeback prowess. They had already erased a 3-1 deficit twice, so maybe they could do it once again.

But LeBron James and the Lakers came right out of the gates at them. LBJ finished with a phenomenal 38 point triple-double, including 16 fourth-quarter points!

Davis’ 27 point performance, coupled with King James’ triple-double was too much to handle for the Nuggets. As a result, the Lakers will make their first NBA Finals appearance for the first time since 2010.

Right now, the Lakers could face either Miami or Boston in the finals. But according to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, the Lakers want to face the Heat in the finals.

They [Lakers] just gonna sit back celebrate tonight and say we are gonna play Boston or Miami. But someone tells me they want the Miami Heat.”

On the other hand, Deke Digital’s Gregory Moore believes that Shaq’s take is wrong.

“Surprised that Shaq would say LeBron would want Miami in the Finals. It’s not personal for LeBron. It’s about legacy. Easy. LeBron wants the Celtics in the Finals. Lakers matter more when the Celtics matter, and vice versa. Hail to the King tonight.”

Whatever be the case, the Lakers have done their job and now they just need to wait for their opponents to arrive. They are just four wins away from winning it all, and that should be the focus.
