Warriors coach Steve Kerr, in a recent press conference, described how important Steph is for the Warriors. He said, “We are so incredibly lucky to have Steph. The guy that makes things happen for us but also is the face of the franchise. We’re incredibly blessed not just because of the type of player he is but the type of human being.”

Curry has been in the Warriors for 11 seasons now. He is certainly the centerpiece of the organization on and off the court.

Kerr also mentioned why Curry is a fan favorite and how the players in the league are becoming more driven towards on-court success and have moved away from the community.

He said, “I think fans really connect with the players who genuinely care about their community; they care about their team; they care about their performance, they want to see their players really committed to everything. Unfortunately, these days in the league it seems like the Stephs of the world are dwindling a little.”

He added, “So for our fans and our organization to be able to see Steph work every single night, see his commitment, see what he means to our fans, our community and the connection that he builds with everyone is crucial to the success of Warriors. So we are lucky to have him.”

How far can Steph Curry & the Warriors go?

The Warriors are seeing the return of two of their stars in Steph Curry and Draymond Green for this new season. Unfortunately, their third star Klay Thompson suffered yet another season ending injury.

Steph will now be playing much more minutes in order to take the offensive load. They have also brought in newer players like Kelly Oubre Jr. to replace Thompson’s output.

Their new acquisitions, Kelly Oubre Jr. and their draft pick James Wiseman, are also a step in the right direction. If Oubre can replicate his 2019-20 form where he averaged 18.7 points, 1.5 assists and 6.4 rebounds, he will be big offensive help to Curry.
