Adebayo was crucial to the Heat during their run to the Finals. The iconic block he made to deny Jayson Tatum the game-winner in the Eastern Conference finals is still one of the best plays in playoff history.

Adebayo suffered an unfortunate injury in Game 1 of the NBA Finals that kept him sidelined for much of the series. By the time Adebayo could return, the Lakers had gained an insurmountable advantage in the series.

Bam Adebayo talks new contract

While the Heat lost in the NBA Finals, their playoff run was very promising. Adebayo upped his value this season in the regular and post-season with his performances.

Adebayo was awarded for his excellent season with a five year, $163 million contract extension by the Miami Heat. The move is smart for both sides as it guarantees Adebayo money and locks down a key Heat player for the near future.
