Miami Heat will battle the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. The Heat had one of the greatest breakout seasons this year, and the mastermind of this amazing team is none other than Erik Spoelstra.
The 49-year-old has spent his entire coaching career with the Miami Heat. Moreover, he has led the team to two NBA championships as a head coach. This will be coach Spo’s fifth shot at the glorious championship, but it will be different from the previous four times.
Last time, Spo had the three superstars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh leading the pack. Now, LeBron will be the Heat’s opponent this time around. After lifting the Eastern Conference title, Spo was asked about the highly regarded matchup. And Erik Spoelstra displayed his class with an amazing answer. He said, “That’s a great storyline, right? Can you let us enjoy this for a little bit right now? This is hard to do. It’s hard to get to this point, and I want our guys to recognize that, acknowledge it, enjoy it for at least a night. Then we will get on to that tomorrow.”

During the Heatles era, LBJ was the best player in the team and he proved his worth. Given his time with the Heat, resident Pat Riley, coach Erik Spoelstra, and the entire Heat staff are well aware of James’ impact on the franchise. They know how good a player he is and what he can do on the grand stage. Making a strategy to defeat LBJ will be a tough task for the organization. But looking back at the 2020 NBA Playoff, the Heat are arguably the only team that can achieve this goal.
