The Brooklyn Nets have impressed everyone inside the bubble. The Nets are now 7-2 in the seeding games with just one more remaining in their schedule. However, it will an absolute disappointment for the Nets fans that their superstar signing Kevin Durant isn’t playing in the NBA’s restart. Who wouldn’t want to see KD come back and get those buckets like he always does?!

Kevin Durant could not gear up for the Nets just in time for the NBA’s restart. While the bubble games are going on in full flow, KD is out in Brooklyn shopping for sneakers with Cool Kicks! Yes, the Nets star ventured out to different sneaker stores along with the entourage of Cool Kicks members.

While the cool kicks guys remained absolutely enthusiastic throughout the video, KD just looked like he wanted to get done with his shopping and leave. However, a few conversations had to be made along with some opinions as well.

While they were done with their first sneaker stop, a person from the store reminisced about playing in an AAU game where Kevin Durant was also present. Moreover, the Cool Kicks guys also asked him to inform KD as to who he thinks is the greatest basketball player of all time.

LeBron James! he exclaimed, to which Durant was left unimpressed. The two-time champion did not want to give an elaborate response and just left it by saying, “That’s crazy.”

As KD was checking out from the store and paying for his purchases, there arose another discussion which we feel is an interesting idea for a debate. Who is the best scorer in the NBA in recent years? We’ve got two picks: Kevin Durant and James Harden.

Kevin Durant vs James Harden: Two of the most efficient scorers in the modern game

I for one consider myself lucky to be witnessing a player like Kevin Durant play his game. The best thing about KD is his demeanor on the court. He just has this winning mentality about him and there’s a reason why his Instagram handle is named, easymoneysniper!”

On the other hand, the NBA still has no answer to the brilliance of James Harden. ‘The Beard’ keeps racking up the points with his effortless plays. While it may look effortless, it really is not. A combination of flawless ball handling and speed makes him unstoppable.

It really is hard to believe that KD and Harden were once teammates at OKC. They even made it to the Finals in 2012, where they were easily bested by the Miami Heat. But who was the highest scorer in the finals?

A 24-year-old Kevin Durant averaged 30.6 points per game in the five-match series. It is indeed a mind-boggling number, considering that he outscored LeBron James, who lifted the championship that year. James Harden, on the other hand, averaged only 12.4 in the series, but he wasn’t ‘The Beard’ back then!

Harden has really evolved as the best scorer in the league at the moment. Moreover, he’s clearly en route to picking up his third-straight scoring title, a feat that has only been achieved by KD in the 21st century.

In his best regular-season performance, Kevin Durant averaged 32.0 PPG, which was in the 2013-14 NBA season. As for Harden, his 2018-19 regular-season scoring record surpassed any expectations. A 36.1 PPG during a regular-season is genuinely a number that defines his natural scoring ability.

Michael Jordan has won ten-scoring titles in his career. But even MJ has managed to go beyond the 35.0 PPG mark only once. Thus, Harden deserves a lot of credit for his accomplishments. It is a very interesting topic for a debate considering what Durant and Harden have achieved in their careers so far. Who have you got as the best scorer in the modern history of the game?
