The tragic death of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter shattered the entire world. However, one can’t even fathom what their family must have gone through. But it looks like entrepreneur and actress, La La Anthony was a pillar of support for Vanessa Bryant and her three kids.

The duo’s friendship goes way back when La La married NBA player Carmelo Anthony. Their bond became even stronger as La La continued to help Vanessa and her kids through their time of grieving.

Anthony told Entertainment times that she adores how both of their kids are growing up together. “To me, it’s one of the most important parts. They [the kids] look at themselves as cousins and they do a lot together,” she said.

“It’s really cool just to see our kids grow up together and be able to have so many great experiences together,” Anthony pointed out. “You want that as friends.” 

Kobe Bryant and his family will always be La La’s family

Anthony also explained the beautiful relationship she has with Kobe’s daughters. “I’ve been a part of their lives from before they were even thought of so just to continue to be a part of their journey is amazing, and to be ‘Auntie La La,’ and to always be there for them no matter what is an amazing thing and responsibility that I don’t take lightly,” La La said.

“That’s my family, and that’s what it’s always gonna be. I’m always [going to have] their best interests at heart no matter what.”

Talking about what friendship means to her, Anthony stated, “I love my friends and I love having such a supportive group of girlfriends that I can go to for anything that are all successful in multiple areas of their life. It’s really cool to have them as a sounding board. I know who to call for what.”

It is truly a blessing to have people who stand by you through thick and thin. This shows how much Vanessa and her family mean to La La. While none of us will ever get over what happened to Kobe And Gigi, it is a relief that the rest of his family have all the support they need.
