LeBron James is headed for his 10th NBA Finals appearance, this time with the Lakers. The 35-year-old was doubted repeatedly in the regular season, but King James has proved naysayers wrong once again.

James has a chance to win his fourth ring against his former team, the Miami Heat. Following LeBron’s yet another successful postseason run, the Michael Jordan vs LeBron James debate has been reignited once again.
Former NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins made the case for LBJ and MJ being at the same level in a recent episode of ESPN’s First Take.

“Y’all some haters! Because If I go argue with my grandfather and some of his friends about the best they saw, It used to be Kareem, Wilt, Bill Russell. Jordan was never in the conversation. So move down 10 years later, now I am talking to you Stephen A and Max, now all of a sudden it’s Jordan.
“So ya’ll will never give the props to the younger generation…You’ll are haters! Michael Jordan and LeBron James are sitting at the same dinner table…there’s no gap! Both of these guys, you can close your eyes and say just pick one. Their resume is equal, it matches up.”
.@kendrickperkins was coming for Stephen A. and Max's necks!

This was an interesting take by Kendrick Perkins. For most of the audience, it’s either LeBron James or Michael Jordan as the consensus GOAT.
But right now, LBJ’s major focus is winning the title for the ‘Lake Show’. The GOAT conversation can wait, and if LeBron does win the title, he might come to a step closer to MJ.

King James has been one of the most elite performers in the league for the last 17 years. However, one might argue that his 3-6 finals record is a stain on his resume. Moreover, LeBron is heading towards the end of his career and he might not get many more shots at winning a title.

The Lakers are just four wins away from bringing back the NBA title to LA. It wouldn’t have been possible without the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The only thing left is to win this title, and it improves the legacy of both the superstars.
While LBJ will strengthen his GOAT debate, AD will become a first-time champion in his career.
