The dreams and aspirations of LaVar Ball to see all three of his kids playing in the NBA has taken a major hit. After the Lakers picked Lonzo Ball overall #2 in 2017 and the Hornets picked LaMelo Ball #3 this year, it was only LiAngelo who was yet to see his dawn. He did get lucky when the Detroit Pistons signed a non-guaranteed deal with him.

But seems like his happy days were only 2-week long because a recent development clearly suggests that the Pistons have waived him. Now, this puts a serious dent on LaVar’s desperate ambitions to see a Ball trio in the league.

In the report, it was mentioned that LiAngelo, along with Anthony Lamb and Louis King, has been waived. However, this should not come as a shocker because the nature of the contract signed between the two already hinted towards it. Notably, the LiAngelo signed an Exhibit 10 contract that would have kept him as a training camp player.

What’s next for LiAngelo Ball?

The Detroit Pistons lost their first preseason game 84-90 and won their second 99-91 against the Knicks. Blake Griffin and Jeremy Grant remained their key players but failed to perform as was expected of them. In both games, LiAngelo clearly did not get the opportunity to even be in the rotation.

Now, after the waiving off, LiAngelo has an option to join the Piston’s G-League team. Also, just in case the pandemic does not allow the organization of the G-league, LiAngelo can take his talent to any foreign league of his choice.

The world remembers how LaVar Ball reacted to his son’s failure in the 2018 draft night. LaVar had simply stated, “What’s next for him is to play in the summer league.” He probably again has to be similarly optimistic before any other opportunity knocks on Angelo’s doors. Do you believe there still are chances for the three brothers to play in the league?
