LeBron James is never away from a great deal of praise that he receives from various past and present NBA players. James has been a part of a recurring debate that compares him and Michael Jordan.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had a say in it too. Kerr was a teammate of Jordan when the Chicago Bulls won their second three-peat from 1996-98.

He lauded LeBron for his fitness levels which enabled him to mark his name as one of the top players in the previous decade. Kerr mentioned that LeBron James is just getting better with age. He praised him for developing new skill sets along with his growing age. “He’s ten times better,” he said.

Steve Kerr ranks LeBron James very close to Michael Jordan

LeBron James has been a very familiar figure for Steve Kerr in the league. His Cleveland Cavaliers team met Kerr’s Warriors in the NBA Finals for four consecutive years.

 He has seen LeBron James attempt the impossible when the Cavs were down 1-3 against his Warriors team in the 2016 NBA finals.

James and the Cavs overturned the 1-3 deficit and won the finals in Game 7 which left Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors in a state of shock.

Kerr gets asked about MJ and LeBron wherever he goes. The Warriors’ coach also made a comment a few years ago on the comparison. “All I know is that they are the two best players I’ve ever witnessed”.

Though Kerr stated the difference in their gameplay, he insists that they are right up there together.

Steve Kerr had also made another interesting comment on LeBron James when he posted 51 points against them in Game 1 of the 2018 Finals. Although James’ effort went in vain, he received the compliments of Kerr for his incredible performance.

“They have a guy who’s playing basketball at a level that I’m not sure anyone’s ever seen before when you consider everything he’s doing.” 

LeBron James has three titles in his career and looks to add a fourth one with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has been purely dedicated this season in his pursuit of winning the championship. Although James has lesser NBA titles and MVP awards than Jordan, his team commitment is second to none.
