Vanessa Bryant seems to have found an invaluable gift on her 38th birthday. She found a letter from her late husband Kobe Bryant that she hasn’t read till now.

She posted a photo of an envelope on Instagram, claiming she had found it a day earlier and wanted to open it on her birthday.

“Yesterday I found an envelope labeled To: The Love of my Life. From, Tu Papi. I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today,” the caption to the post read.

It has been just over four months since Bryant and her daughter Gianna died in a tragic helicopter crash that took six other lives. In what was her first birthday after her husband’s demise, she revealed that the envelope had a photo of herself with an angel holding her.

“The irony is that Kobe had a photo of me drawn with an Angel holding me up by an artist on the cover. Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita- my fellow Taurus. Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together,” the caption further read.

Vanessa remembered Kobe Bryant & Gianna last week

Last week, Gianna would have been 14. Vanessa paid a tribute to her with a photo on Instagram. Gigi, a basketball player like her father, was going for a game when she died in the helicopter crash. Vanessa wished Gigi a happy birthday and wrote how much she missed her.

She also received a birthday cake from Pau Gasol and her wife. Gasol and Kobe were good friends and played together for the Los Angeles Lakers for six years between 2008 and 2014. During their time together, they also won two consecutive titles in 2009 and 2010.

The Gasol couple sent a cake to Vanessa which she posted on her Instagram story. Kobe and Vanessa had been together for 18 years.

Last month the pair would have celebrated their 19th anniversary together. Unfortunately, Vanessa will have to do without her husband and her daughter.
