Last year, forward player Jimmy Butler had a decent playoff season with the Philadelphia 76ers. Unfortunately for him, they got knocked out at the hands of the Toronto Raptors in Game 7 of the conference semi-finals. This year, he has begun his round 2 campaign for Miami Heat with a great win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The man of the hour, Jimmy Butler, had one of his best games ever as he dropped 40 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in his 36 minutes of play. The Heat defeated the Bucks 115-104 in Game 1. However, the Bucks have a recent history from round 1 where they lost their first and won the next four. So, things can turn over pretty quickly.

The Bucks dominated in the beginning as they took the first quarter 40-29 and ended the first half with a 63-60 score. However, Butler turned into an unstoppable force in the second half of the game. He went to the rim for a massive dunk in the third and converted some hesitation dribbles in the forth. Jimmy G. Buckets brought the Bucks defense on to its knees as he kind of restricted them after they touched 100. It was all Heat dominance in the last few minutes.

In the post-game conference, Jimmy was shimmering with confidence as he talked about their successful run. He revealed, “I told my teammates I probably wasn’t going to pass the ball. I made a couple of shots. And they said, ‘that’s fine with me’.”

This speaks of the belief he carried in himself and also the trust that his teammates had in his play. He also accepted that it will not always be him who leads the charge and it can be anyone from star defender Bam Adebayo, youngster Tyler Herro, or guard Goran Dragic.

This team is doing wonders!

The Miami Heat bulldozed past rival Indiana Pacers in an unforgiving manner with a 4-0 victory in Round 1. They’re beaming with the resurrection that they’ve earned after a not-so-good seeding game run in the Bubble where they trailed 3-5.

Jimmy Butler has been a pivotal anchor in their wins. The man has averaged 23.8 points, 5 rebs, 3.6 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1 block in the five NBA Playoffs 2020 games that he has played. This by far is his best playoff performance. He has good playoff experience as he has missed entering the post-season only once (2016) in the past 8 years. Let’s see if the Heat can stay hot for the rest of the series.
