Denver looked energized in Game Two, after a lethargic Game One performance. The Clippers were the ones looking listless in Game Two, falling to a massive Denver lead early in the first quarter. LA didn’t lead the game even once, as Denver won in relatively dominant fashion. However, the Clippers attempted a comeback and cut down a 23-point lead to just 9 points.

Did LA Clippers lose on a fluke or is this a sign of trouble?

After the LA Lakers dropped game one to the Houston Rockets, this Clippers loss makes their run to the Finals that much harder. Denver is well-coached and just came back from 3-1 down in the Playoffs. Their heart and spirit cannot be questioned. Their solid defensive plan on Kawhi Leonard worked, as Leonard struggled to make his patented mid-range jump shots. This is a smart team that is well-coached.

However, the Playoffs come down to talent. Despite the heart that Denver shows, the Clippers are stacked with talent. Nonetheless, that won’t stop the Nuggets from trying to pull off this upset. Everyone has been anticipating a Lakers-Clippers finals matchup, but both the Rockets and Nuggets seem to have other ideas.

Whether this was a fluke loss is something we cannot determine. However, anyone thinking the Denver can’t do this three more times to possibly stun the Clippers is unfamiliar with the unpredictable nature of basketball.
