The NBA champion, LeBron James penned down a message for the NFL star, Damar Hamlin, who collapsed on the field on Monday night. NFL star Patrick Mahomes and renowned golfer Bryson DeChambeau also sent in their heartfelt messages for Hamlin. The Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals went head-to-head in tonight’s game. The Bills safety player was rushed to the hospital, after getting immediate medical attention on the field.

LeBron James tweeted, “Praying for you kid!!!” with a string of folded hands emojis. He posted it along with a video of the No. 3 player running and hugging his family members.

What happened to Damar Hamlin?

According to Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN, Hamlin had “tackled wide receiver Tee Higgins and quickly got up afterward. Hamlin then abruptly collapsed, with athletic trainers coming to help immediately“. After 16 minutes of his collapse and being considered in critical condition, he was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Damar Hamlin’s whole team huddled near their teammate, as he received medical care on the field. Many players were “visibly distressed and comforting each other“, as others “turned away” seeing Hamlin in pain.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes wrote, “Praying hard.. please be okay man“. Bryson DeChambeau also tweeted, “Gut-wrenched. Prayers to Damar Hamlin and his family.”

LeBron James sends his prayers

The Los Angeles Lakers won tonight against the Charlotte Hornets 121-115. During the post-game media interaction, LeBron James said, “My thoughts and super prayers goes up to the skies above”. He was seen holding back tears while addressing the grave situation of Damar Hamlin.

He extended his prayers for Hamlin’s family and the “brotherhood of the NFL”. LeBron added, “The safety of players in all sports is always the most important. ? It was a terrible thing to see“.
