Any team sport or athlete can influence, inspire, and impact the lives of  many. For NFL stars to look to the NBA would seem like nothing new. Both sports feature players that have wowed, inspired, and influenced each other. And perhaps none has a more tangible effect than Dennis Rodman.

Two players of the Kansas City Chiefs saluted one of the best players in NBA history ahead of their game against the Tennessee Titans. Mecole Hardman and Skyy Moore were seen inspired by the NBA legend, Dennis Rodman. Both players were sporting a shirt and a jacket respectively with Rodman at the forefront.

In fact, Rodman’s first love was always football. He made no qualms about admitting that. He said his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys and attempted to get into the team.

Interestingly, Dennis Rodman also didn’t make it to his varsity basketball team.

His rags-to-riches story is an inspiring tale, to say the least. Rodman has impacted future and active players because he was the poster boy for smart work. He was also unapologetically himself.

This kind of inspiration can be taken in spirit. Especially for Skyy Moore who has seen the pressure and criticism.

On the other hand, things have been looking up for Mecole Hardman. He is one touchdown shy from matching his own record he had in 2019 as a rookie. He also became the first wide receiver in Super Bowl history to record two touchdowns on the ground and another one while receiving.

The Chief’s quarterback, Patrick Mahomes is an MVP candidate for this season, and for good reason. The team has been relying on Mahomes to get another win. And by channelizing their inner Dennis Rodman, there may be little that can stop them.

Dennis Rodman, on the court, was electrifying. His choices were as unpredictable as he was off the court. That’s what made the player a cut above the rest. The Chiefs would hope to emulate his success and drive to win.
