Saturday Night Live, one of the United States’ longest-running comedy shows, is renowned for featuring only the most notable and influential individuals as hosts. Since its inception in 1975, the show has garnered numerous Emmy awards. A wide range of famous actors, political figures, and athletes have had the privilege of hosting SNL. Among them is NBA legend Charles Barkley, who recently shared his experience of being part of the show in a recent interview.

Following his retirement from professional basketball, Charles Barkley has made a successful transition into the television industry. He currently serves as a basketball analyst for NBA on TNT. In addition to his broadcasting career, Barkley had the opportunity to appear on the popular comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live in 2013.

During a lengthy interview with Spittin Chiclets, the former NBA MVP, Charles Barkley, discussed various topics. As a well-known public figure, Barkley had the opportunity to appear on Saturday Night Live (SNL).

In the interview, he mentioned, “There are some times when you behind this wall and these four ladies just snatch all your clothes off. You’re standing there cause you’ve like two minutes. Because all your outfits are velcroed on, so sometimes you have like two minutes to get dressed.” Barkley explained the fast-paced nature of the shoot, highlighting the time constraints and the assistance provided by women backstage who help with changing clothes. He later described that the time he worked at SNL was the “longest week of his life.” It was fascinating to hear the perspective of the Olympic gold medalist on the behind-the-scenes process of shooting one of the most renowned television shows.

In fact, Thompson’s comedy was so hilarious that Kelce even broke character during the show. He humorously mentioned, “I?ve been called vanilla ice by fcking everybody in the world. Nobody has ever called me Vanilla Saurus Rex, and I thought that was the funniest sht I had ever heard. When he (Kenan Thompson) said that the first time, I just bust out laughing, I broke character.” It is refreshing to witness notable athletes receiving recognition and opportunities in the entertainment industry.
