Conor McGregor is counted among the highest-paid athletes in the entire globe. In fact, his lavish lifestyle reflects the bank balance of the UFC double champion. However, when it comes to investments, McGregor seemed interested in buying a Premier League Club. 

Recently, he replied to a tweet asking him to buy Liverpool FC, confirming his intention of buying it. He also has kept his eyes on LeBron James’ billion-dollar investment.

Conor McGregor voiced his intention of buying the Liverpool FC

Fenway Sports Group decided to sell Liverpool after being the owner of the football club for over a decade. Amongst the interested parties, the UFC featherweight champion, Conor McGregor, has also voiced his desire. Although the bidding price was set at a whopping $4.56 billion US dollars, the $200 million dollars net worth fighter aimed a shot. 

Recently, Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor took to Twitter and revealed his desire to buy ‘Liverpool Football Club’. “I WOULD LOVE IT!”, he quoted. Furthermore, he added, “I requested my information on this, yes. Soon as I heard. What a turn of events! What a club!”

LeBron James’ profitable investment

LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers forward, has recently earned a really fatty profit from his investment in Liverpool FC. In April 2011, the NBA superstar bought 2% of the stakes of Liverpool FC for a gargantuan amount of $6.5 million USD. Doubtlessly, it proved to be a profitable investment for James. Furthermore, earlier in 2022, James and his partners exchanged their stakes at the football club for partial ownership of Fenway Sports Group. The basketball star is estimated to own 1% of Liverpool’s mother organization, the FSG.

The fighter even claimed to be a supporter of Liverpool FC. “You know, my family are Liverpool, I’m a supporter of Liverpool,” he revealed. Moreover, he also revealed his support for Real Madrid before the 2021 Champions League finale. He said, “I’m a supporter of Real Madrid also. I hope for a great game but I’ll have to go with the pool [Liverpool] for this one, I’ll have to go for the pool.”
