Who is Alex Tecza’s mom?

Alex’s mom, Dana Tecza, is not just any mom; she’s a former equestrian who spent years honing her skills in horseback riding, which requires a crazy amount of focus, discipline, and patience. On top of that, she was a swimmer and cheerleader while growing up at Lock Haven University College. Currently, she teaches at Mt. Lebanon school district’s Lincoln Elementary. In addition, she coaches at T2 CrossFit in Bridgeville. She teaches that drive and work ethic are among the few key things she instilled in Alex growing up. Dana’s competitive background in equestrianism had a direct effect on Alex.

However, besides her professional career, Dana has spent a lot of her time in leadership roles within the local community in Mt. Lebanon, where she has been involved with various volunteer activities. Local causes, youth development programs, and empowering others have filled Alex with a great sense of versatility in his character. Along with his mom, his dad has also provided guidance to his athletic pursuits.

Who’s Alex Tecza’s dad?

Alex’s dad, Randall, isn’t just a father; he’s been a role model, a coach, and a mentor in Alex’s life. He shares deep roots in sports, particularly in football. He comes from a background both as a coach and as an advocate for local sports development in Mt. Lebanon.

Randall played football at Allegheny College and Lock Heaven after a tenure as a three-sport athlete at Cathedral Prep in Erie. “My parents were always athletic, and they kept me motivated and going. My dad made me fall in love with the game. I love football and being a running back. It’s something I’ve done my whole career and now I’m a defensive back like my dad. He played that position too,” Alex said.
