Soon after LSU’s embarrassing loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs, fans wasted no time in correlating it to Griner’s special day. As the Bears prepare to retire the iconic Griner’s jersey No. 42, social media is letting Mulkey know how this turns out to be a second loss of the day for LSU’s boss. Apparently, this all roots down to the fallout between Kim and Brittney back at Baylor almost a decade ago. Adding to the suspense is Kim’s silence on anything about the two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Seemingly, speculations have been making rounds since the controversy started that Kim did not approve of Griner’s sexual orientation. This has led to some anti-LGBTQ drama for Mulkey since then. Further, fans again thrashed Kim as she did not show any support towards Brittney after her detention in Russia back in 2022.

Baylor celebrates Brittney’s legacy

Brittney has done a lot for her university basketball team since she joined the roster back in 2009. Evidently, the excellent baller led the team to great heights from the final four as a freshman to winning the national championship in 2012. As a member of the NCAAWBB, Brittney secured a record of 3,283 points. She was positioned among the top ranks in many categories for both women’s and general NCAA records. Consequently, Baylor University will now celebrate the legacy that she’s leaving behind on February 18, 2024, when the Bears will stand against Virginia Tech.

“Spirit of life lies in expression”. As a boy-next-door growing up in the mystic vibes of Ajmer, I would often wonder about the towering ballers’ ability to forge unity for a common goal. Big guys watching each other’s back and creating brouhaha and belligerence for the glory was a tempting feeling.
