The brand has been joined by NFL stars like Will Anderson Jr. and Chase Young since the launch. The 6’7 forward, who is the possible top pick for the 2024 NBA draft, is the first college athlete and basketball player to sign with the brand.

The Kentucky forward is averaging 12.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists with 42.8% field goal percentage in his career. Being a youngster with great talent and a following which keeps on growing, the player can add immense marketing value to the brand.

The Klutch Sports agency, which is based in California, also represents college athletes including the Kentucky star. As he signs Edwards, Paul creates yet another conflicting situation. With Nike being the apparel and footwear brand for Kentucky, the player will have to continue wearing Nike shoes on the court as he plays for the team while also campaigning for New Balance as part of signing with Klutch Sports.

With the mission to empower athletes throughout their journey by giving them access to high-quality apparel, Rich Paul has made a move, the ramifications of which will be quite interesting to witness.
