The unapologetic barbie

Despite facing adversity, Angel Reese was recently awarded the 2023 Sporting News Athletes of the Year. But, in a turn of events, she had to share this title with her arch-rival, Clark. Several Clark fans took this opportunity to criticize Reese, but this time she didn’t ignore it.

She took a page from Morant’s playbook to silence her critics with a bold and unapologetic response. Reese took to her X profile, formerly known as Twitter, and posted a response for all her haters. She said, “I keep receipts too.” This statement by Reese not only mirrored Morant’s statement during his return to playing after the 25-game suspension but also served as a powerful statement, signaling that Reese was more than ready to defend her accomplishments against any criticism.

How has she performed so far?

The ongoing NCAA season has been a rollercoaster ride for the Tigers’ star Angel Reese. Reese and her team started the season with a huge upset as they lost to a No.20 ranked team in their season opener. But, being the best team in the league, they made a comeback and haven’t lost a match since then. The Tigers have played twelve matches so far out of which they have won eleven and lost one.

Reese, after being sidelined from four games due to ‘Coach’s decision,’ made a spectacular comeback. And with her back on the team, the Tigers have found their rhythm back and there is no stopping them now. Currently, Reese is averaging 19.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.
