What did Angel Reese’s teammate say?

Louisiana State University guard Flau’jae Johnson expressed her joy at her teammate and NCAA champion Angel Reese pocketing a major NIL deal with sports giant Reebok. She shared the same on her Instagram Story tagging Reese on Wednesday, which was later shared by Reese on her story.

“Hey, I’m just in a mood to talk right now so I’m a keep talking… I wanna give a big shoutout to my teammate Angel Reese for signing that Reebok deal, blazing the trail, man, I’m proud of you…Keep doing your thing,” Johnson had said.

The 19-year-old recorded her season-high performance against Northwestern State by scoring 27 points with 10 rebounds and 5 assists. She was also named the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and made it to the McDonald’s All-American Game in 2022. The LSU star Angel Reese recently signed an NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deal with the sports giant – Reebok. The move came after NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal was named the Basketball President for Reebok. The sporting goods company, in a bid to revive its global image, has recently signed a deal with Shaq, who will be taking care of deals and collaborations with athletes and other organizations.

With Reese bagging the NIL deal, a special limited edition collection of t-shirts will be launched that fans can buy from Reebok’s website.

Can Angel Reese repeat her heroics?

Meanwhile, riding on the heroics of Angel Reese, the LSU Lady Tigers had upended the Iowa Hawkeyes during the NCAA Championship Final in April. Their head coach Kim Mulkey has been instrumental in making a winning team by acquiring players from different colleges. It remains to be seen if the LSU can repeat their magic in the next season.
