American Soccer Legend Alex Morgan Flexes NCAA Queen Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Jersey

Stunning her fans all season, dropping down records one by one, Caitlin Clark has redefined the game and raised the bar to new heights. From one trailblazer to another, the 22-year-old even has Alex Morgan on her hype train. Today, in the Iowa Hawkeyes’ 91-65 win against the Holy Cross Crusaders, Caitlin Clark tallied 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 assists. Celebrating her continued success in the March Madness tourney, Morgan decided to tip her hat to the hooper.

Yesterday, before the Kansas City Current took on the San Diego Wave, the 34-year-old soccer legend arrived for the game donning Iowa’s #22 jersey, which is worn by Caitlin Clark. In her recent Instagram stories, Caitlin Clark shared a picture of Morgan in her jersey. Whereas Alex Morgan herself is a legendary member of the United States Women’s National Soccer Team, she has been a vocal supporter of Clark and celebrates Clark’s achievements regularly.

Along with other sports stars and legends, Alex Morgan congratulated Clark on becoming the all-time leading scorer in the NCAA Division I women’s college basketball. The Hawkeyes guard had surpassed Kelsey Plum’s record of 3,527 points. In her message to Clark she wrote, “Incredible @CaitlinClark22 take it all in!” acknowledging Clark’s elite athleticism.

In Clark’s smashing win against Michigan State University, Morgan took her wishes to social media and wrote, “CAITLIN CLARK IS HER.” She also gave Clark a shoutout on her epic game-winning buzzer beater shot against Indiana saying, “That’s tough” on Instagram.

It is evident that despite herself being a legendary soccer player, Morgan has kept her eyes on Clark’s hardwood performances, with her latest gesture cementing the laurels. Caitlin Clark’s achievements have garnered widespread recognition from legends across various domains of the sports realm.

Clark getting praises from all corners

When she became the all-time leading scorer in the NCAA, there were some notable reactions from established sportsmen and athletes, including the NFL quarterback and 7x Superbowl Champion, Tom Brady. He expressed his admiration saying, “I just wanted to say congratulations on the record. Like the rest of the country, I’ve been following along while you chased down my girl Kelsey Plum. But I know she’s proud of you, too, so we love witnessing greatness here. Keep your head down, go finish the job, and I’ll be watching. Good luck.”

Renowned football players, Peyton and Eli Manning also joined the celebratory moment. Moreover, NBA star Damian Lillard acknowledged her remarkable feat, along with Brittney Griner, who also sent her best of wishes on her achievement.
