BREAKING: 2021 NBA Draft Prospect and Kentucky Wildcats Guard Terrence Clarke Passes Away

Kentucky Wildcats forward Terrence Clarke has allegedly passed away in a car crash. While the story was unconfirmed for a while, with young basketball personalities like Jalen Green and Bronny James putting cryptic posts where they were mourning something, the news of Clark’s unfortunate death was confirmed by ‘Big Blue Express’, one of the most reputed Kentucky Wildcats reporting pages.

There are also rumors that BJ Boston of the Wildcats was with Clarke and is injured as well. While Big Blue Express has said that Boston wasn’t involved from their knowledge, the rumors of him being involved are still churning. The story has been confirmed by local Kentucky news channels as well.

This is a devastating day for basketball. Clarke was one of the most talented players entering the 2021 NBA Draft. He declared, along with Boston, in March.

The pair signed with the same agency as well. This is still a developing story, but we would like to extend our condolences to Clarke’s family, the Kentucky Wildcats, and anyone else who may be hurt by these tragic developments.

Terrence Clarke and his passing came as a shock to the world of basketball. We saw Oscar Frayer of the GCU Antelopes’ also pass away in a car crash in March, so seeing this happen so soon after that is heartbreaking. Clarke was going to be a first-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He played 8 games for the Kentucky Wildcats in the 2020-21 season.

In his 8 games for the Wildcats, Clarke averaged 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists. He had tremendous upside as a player, with some comparisons holding him to the standards of NBA legend Tracy McGrady. However, every player in unique in their own way, and Clarke had a unique play-style that fit the modern NBA.

This loss will cut deep through the communities of young basketball players in America. Considering the reaction this news is already getting, it is easy to see that Clarke was admired. People were waiting to see his story as an NBA player develop. We’d like to reiterate our sincerest condolences for anyone who has been affected by this news.
