Clark recently shared an Instagram story showing her impact on the basketball world.
According to the post shared on the official page of Just Women’s Sports, the matchup between Iowa and Ohio State had the highest viewership among all basketball games this season. It is an impressive feat in itself as Victor Wembanyama’s entry into the NBA did generate a lot of buzz. Also called the Wemby-mania, the youngest and tallest freshman of the NBA got about 3 Million views on ESPN. To date, it remains the most-watched debut night. While his team lost to the Dallas Mavericks with a 126-119 margin, Wemby contributed an impressive 15 points in his 17 minutes on the floor for the San Antonio Spurs.
Yet, neither Wemby nor the NBA’s opening night create quite as much interest as Iowa’s #22 did. With escalating viewership, fans are also increasing their expectations of the 22-year-old baller. One question that comes to everyone’s mind is can she repeat the history but only to come out victorious?
