A struggling Iowa was trying to catch up with Indiana’s lead with over 8 minutes left in the second quarter. At this time, with the score 26-22 against the NCAA finalists, Clark attempted to sneak one past the Hoosiers. Unfortunately, her attempt wasn’t successful as Indiana’s No.12 Yarden Garzon got in her way. Moments later, the two were in each other’s faces and found themselves embroiled in a heated argument. Moreover, the spectators present saw an angry Clark lashing out at Garzon while returning to her teammates.

Following this, the officials intervened and cooled off the competitive conversation. Soon after, Caitlin was awarded a free throw which to everyone’s surprise she missed.
