Stanford Cardinals can’t stop winning at the moment. After clinching Pac-12 regular-season title, they’re leaving no chances to humiliate their opponents on the hardwood. They displayed another such performance, by getting the better of Golden Bears 71-57 following a double-double from their Pac-12 Honorees, Cameron Brink and Kiki Iriafen. Along with them was Elena Bosgana who grabbed her career-high 16 points in the game.

Cameron Brink and Kiki Iriafen talk about their Pac-12 honors
The announcers took their turn and talked to each of these three players about their reflection of the night. However, they soon turned their attention to the gleaming small forward. One of the ladies congratulated and asked Cameron how she felt about winning Pac-12 of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year simultaneously. To this, Brink said, “It obviously means the world, it’s a dream come true. Tara called me and told me. You can see I’m emotional but I worked really hard for it and just super thankful and super blessed.”

The commentators then wanted to know how Kiki felt about being the Most Improved Player of the Year. To this, Kiki replied, “I think it was big deal. My first two years were rough and then seeing everything all come together. I can’t ask for a better year. Again I just love playing with my teammates, I’m having a lot of fun. So… this would not be possible without my teammates, my circle, my family. So I’m just super grateful.”

How did the night go for Cardinals’ duo?
With a deficit of 9 points in the first half, Stanford built their game again against California. In fact, with the help of their dominant players Kiki and Cameron on the floor, they led an impressive second-half resurgence for their team. After scoring the first 8 points in the third quarter, Stanford controlled the game completely until the end.
A whole lot of credit goes to Kiki Iriafen who scored 28 points and 18 rebounds while dishing out 5 assists. She had the complete backing of Brink who ended her night with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
All-in-all, it was a great quarter-final for Cameron Brink and Co. They will return to the court to take on the No. 13-seeded Oregon State in Las Vegas on Friday. Are you excited for Stanford’s upcoming game? Let us know in the comment below.
