Earlier, the Stanford star player announced that she would be returning to her college for one more year after she was eligible for the WNBA draft. During an interview with Alex Simon, Brink said, “I think I want to stay just because I want to just continue to be a kid. Finish my degree in four years, not rush myself. It’s fun, college is fun. Why not stay?” 

This decision of hers is proving to be a guiding light for the Lady Cardinals, as with the help of her unstoppable skill, they are having one of the best seasons in the 2023-24 NCAA season.

How’ve the Cardinals performed so far?

The Stanford Cardinals have already played nine matches so far in the ongoing season, out of which they have won eight out of them. Currently, Brink is averaging 18.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.

But a dark cloud looms over the team, as in their most recent match against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Brink left the court in the first half of the game.

Later, it was found out that she had to get out of the game as she was suffering from an illness, which led the Cardinals to their first loss of the season.
