It’s not every day that high school basketball fans get to witness the next generation of NBA sharing the court. But this Christmas, all eyes are on Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, and the Boozer twins Cam and Cayden, sons of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer. Together, they are turning heads and filling gyms with excitement as they continue to prepare to show their talent in one of the biggest high school stages of the season.

This weekend, Kiyan will headline the Jordan Holiday Classic in New York City. He will join Duke signees Cam and Cayden Boozer, along with top prospects Jordan Smith and Deron Rippey Jr.

Scouts searching for the next generation of talent are expected to attend the NBA-sanctioned event at Baruch College. The showcase gives Kiyan another opportunity to show what he has been known for. And to prove that what he is good at is on the same level as some of the top guns.

Having drawn comparisons to his dad already, Kiyan’s rise in basketball is interesting. The 6-foot-4 Kiyan is a 4-star shooting guard in the class of 2025. His resume includes being ranked the No. 1 recruit in New York and his recent performances, averaging more than 14 points per game, with Team Melo on the AAU circuit, highlight his potential.

Kiyan Anthony’s journey to Syracuse feels like a homecoming of sorts. There is a feeling of destiny in his decision to commit to his father’s alma mater. Kiyan now looks to build on the legacy of Carmelo Anthony, who led Syracuse to its first NCAA Championship in 2003 and won Final Four MVP honors.

Despite his good progress, Kiyan was dealt a blow earlier this month. When he injured his lower back in the opening game of the season. The injury wasn’t serious but it was a problem for the young athlete. But nothing seems to be stopping the young guard.
