The Hurricanes went head-to-head with SMU on Sunday, and it was a game to remember. While Miami secured a thrilling 70-63 win, it was Haley Cavinder who truly stole the show. Dropping 32 points, she became the first Hurricanes player since 2010-2011 to record multiple 30-point games in a season. But the spotlight wasn’t hers alone.

Sitting courtside, proudly sporting a “Cavinder” T-shirt, was none other than Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson, proving that he’s her biggest cheerleader. Once again, Ferguson has embraced his role as a supportive partner, staying true to his “WAG” duties as the basketball star names it.

After the game, Haley took to Instagram to celebrate her performance. She shared a post featuring herself and her twin, Hanna, flaunting their jerseys as their football boyfriends, Ferguson and Carson Beck, stood on their sides, pointing towards “Cavinder.” They were in matching T-shirts too in support of the twins. It could only remind Haley of the role reversal.

“pov it’s their turn to be wags,” she captioned the post. And Ferguson had a comment to drop. “Let’s boogie,” he wrote.

Well, the twins have adorned the WAGs roles for quite a while now. Haley a little longer, considering Hanna and Beck only got together this summer. Nonetheless, while the Hurricanes’ #15 has managed to make it to Georgia games (Miami soon) in their months together, Haley had been a constant presence at the AT&T stadium. She even flaunted a custom 2-piece denim look for the Cowboys game against the Ravens last September, with Ferguson’s “82″ embossed in the front. A kiss prior to the game, also made its round online.

The two are certainly smitten and they aren’t afraid of showing it.

Love or hate, Cavinder and Ferguson wear it proudly!

Cavinder and Ferguson started dating in October 2023. When their relationship became public, comparisons to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift quickly followed, as both couples made their romances official around the same time.

For Haley and Jake, it all began when Cavinder jokingly referred to him as “Bae Ferguson” in an episode of Twin Talk. Even before that, their connection was evident—Haley was spotted sporting Ferguson’s No. 87 Cowboys jersey on social media last year.

“He DM’d me,” Cavinder confessed, playfully adding that Ferguson claims she messaged him first. Their first date in Fort Lauderdale sealed the deal, and their chemistry has been undeniable ever since. Even when the two received hatred online, they sailed together.

“I was in Forever 21, having a great day with my mom and Hanna, and I got this post. I started looking at the comments about my face,” Haley shared. Despite her usual confidence, the senior guard admitted that the trolling got to her, leading to a “mental breakdown.

I’m like, this is new, and obviously Jake is a great guy, but you don’t want to be called ugly on the internet 24/7, and your boyfriend sees it. That’s not going to make anyone feel cool, she added.Yet, through it all, Ferguson has stood by her side. No doubt, the Cowboy’s ready to celebrate every milestone, every victory, and every moment with Haley—haters be damned.
